Intelligent lighting is a generic term to describe lighting control that goes beyond simple on-off. It is more and more popular, from simple dimming switch right through to control system that manage a whole building or road lighting.

Dimming is the basic and simplest additional values to LED lighting fixtures. Normally we have types of dimming including: PWM, 0-10V, Dali, SCR. Besides dimming, what HipowerLED can offer to you:

1. Photocell control(light sensor)

A photocell senses when the sun is setting or rising and turns the fixtures on or off automatically. It is often applied to outdoor lighting, such as our wall pack, street light, and shoebox light.

2. Motion sensor

The main difference between photocells and motion sensors is that the former detects changing light levels, and the latter react to physical movement.

Many motion sensors use a combination of detection methods to provide enhance coverage and eliminate false positives. Devices designed for outdoor use often include a photocell function that turns the system off during the day which conserves energy.

Two type of motion sensors we usually use:

 A. Passive infrared(PIR)

Detects body heat(infrared energy)

B. Mircowave (MW)
Sends out microwave pulses and measures the reflection off a moving object

3. Intelligent control system

It is an intelligent network based lighting control solution that incorporates communication between various system inputs and outputs related to lighting control

with the use of one or more central computing devices, widely used on both indoor and outdoor lighting of commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.

Lighting control systems serve to provide the right amount of light where and when it is needed.
